Georgia halts gasoline supplies to Abkhazia. The transaction was carried out with the permission of the Georgian government through the intermediary company Solidus, but was canceled under pressure from the public and the opposition.
The former president of the National Bank of Georgia, Roman Gotsiridze, accused the government of Irakli Kobakhidze of violating several laws in his independent investigation, demanding criminal charges against the leaders of Repsol and Solidus.
The head of Solidus, Georgi Arveladze, justified that he was cooperating with Abkhaz businessmen "for the sake of Georgian-Abkhaz reconciliation." A total of 400 tons of gasoline had been supplied.
