At the latest auto show in Beijing, Jetta announced plans for the release of new technological vehicles. At the same time, the company noted that it will continue to supply affordable models to the market. The new Jetta M6 sedan has become one of the first models created within this strategy.
The car stands out with a concise design characteristic of many modern sedans sold in the Chinese market. The interior is designed in a minimalist style, facilitated by the presence of a large touchscreen; engineers have moved almost all control functions to this screen.
However, despite the similarities, the Jetta M6 has one interesting feature: the sedan has a steering wheel equipped with small rotating controls, similar to those solutions used by Tesla in its electric vehicles.
The Jetta M6 is equipped with sleek LED lighting that stretches along the front panel and side doors.
The backrests of the front seats fully fold back, allowing for the organization of a comfortable sleeping area in the cabin.
Additionally, published photos indicate that the sedan may be equipped with a high-quality audio system.
The new model measures 4806 mm in length, 1868 mm in width, 1500 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2820 mm.
The standard version is equipped with a 152-horsepower electric motor, while a 194-horsepower version will be available for an additional fee.
The technical specifications of the battery have not yet been published. Jetta has also not disclosed the exact date of the sedan's official presentation.
