For the second consecutive year, the central square of Vanadzor transformed into a major sports platform: the ‘VMH Vanadzor Half Marathon 2026’ gathered over 600 runners from various regions of Armenia and abroad. This year, the main sponsors of the half marathon are Idram and IDBank, which support the event under the initiative ‘The Power of One Dram’. The funds raised from the half marathon will be directed to the ‘Vahe Meliksetyan’ foundation to support the development of clinical pharmacy in Armenia.
The half marathon kicked off with a race for young runners who completed a 1 km distance. Joining the young runners in Vanadzor was Junior, who inspired the children and became an inseparable part of their first major victories. At the end of the competition, the young winners received special prizes from Idram Junior.
After the children, it was the adults' turn to test their strength in the 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km distances. In a tense competition under the scorching sun, the best were awarded cash prizes in the form of idcoins from Idram and IDBank.
According to Tatevik Vardevanyan, head of communications and social responsibility programs at IDBank and Idram, education and community support hold significant importance in their social responsibility directions.
