Viva and Amio bank, in partnership with Mastercard, have introduced a new offer that lets Viva subscribers use telecom services without paying a monthly fee if they meet the programme’s conditions. The offer runs from 10 September 2026 through 31 March 2027 inclusive.
The programme is available to subscribers on Viva’s “START”, “START+”, “Sun”, “Sun Regional”, “UNLIM”, “UNLIM Basic”, “X”, “Y” and “VOXI” prepaid tariff plans, as well as the “UNLIM”, “UNLIM Basic”, “X” and “Y” postpaid plans.
To use the offer, customers need to activate the Amio-Viva Mastercard Digital card through the “My Viva” app. After the card is issued, the next payment for any of the eligible tariff plans will be covered by Amio bank. In the following months, the bank will continue to pay the tariff fee if the total amount of cashless transactions over the previous 30 days exceeds AMD 50,000.
Viva General Director Armen Avetisian said the company aims to turn customers’ everyday activity into an additional source of value. In his words, the partnership shows how a person’s daily financial activity can generate benefits in another area of life, namely telecommunications services. He said the initiative is not just another discount or bonus, but part of a new consumer logic in which different sectors are brought together around the customer’s interests.
Arsen Melkonyan, Director of Corporate Business and Board Member at Amio bank, said it is important for the bank to offer solutions that not only simplify everyday payments but also provide tangible extra benefits. He said the cooperation with Viva combines digital banking services and telecommunications to create a more convenient and beneficial customer experience.
David Zgudadze, Vice President and Regional Director in Armenia and Georgia at Mastercard, said digital payments should not only make daily life easier but also create real value for customers. He added that the project with Viva and Amio bank brings together the strengths of telecommunications and financial services to deliver a more convenient, secure and rewarding experience.
The companies involved in the project have signed a memorandum of cooperation.
