Arminfo: The Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia, Tatevik Sargsyan, welcomed a delegation from the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH). The primary goal of the mission is to evaluate the effectiveness of veterinary services in Armenia using the PVS (Performance of Veterinary Services) methodology, analyzing the potential and effectiveness of the country's veterinary laboratory system, its resilience, and compliance with international standards.
The expert group will examine the management system of veterinary laboratory services, laboratory infrastructure, diagnostic potential, quality management systems, human resources, financial and technical support, as well as the role of the laboratory network in disease control processes and food safety.
Tatevik Sargsyan noted that the PVS mechanism is a crucial tool for Armenia, allowing it to identify strengths and weaknesses in the system, determine development priorities, and plan necessary reforms.
