The Prime Minister's press service reports that Nikol Pashinyan attended the official opening ceremony of the AI factory 'Firebird AI', created in collaboration with the global technology company NVIDIA.
“Nikol Pashinyan toured the factory, familiarizing himself with the company's capabilities and upcoming projects.
The Prime Minister was informed that the project being implemented in Armenia reflects the developing technological cooperation between the USA and Armenia, creating new opportunities for joint development in high technologies, innovation, and artificial intelligence. It was noted that the Government of Armenia acts as a strategic partner in the project, supporting the formation of advanced AI infrastructure in Armenia and the development of Armenia as a regional technological center.
Next, a ceremonial event took place, attended by members of the Government of Armenia, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, the Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, Zhaslan Madiyev, co-founders of the 'Firebird AI' center Alexander Esayan and Razmik Hovakimyan, NVIDIA's Vice President for Physical AI Simulation Rev Lebaredyan, diplomats, and others.
The Prime Minister welcomed the attendees and noted that August 8 is becoming increasingly significant in the history of the Republic of Armenia. He emphasized that peace is a turning point, fundamentally changing the economic and investment environment in the country.
The factory is an advanced computational infrastructure for artificial intelligence being established in Armenia, designed for training and deploying AI models, as well as solving large-scale and complex computational problems.
In the first phase of the project, around 100 permanent jobs are expected to be created, and in the second phase, the number of employees is planned to increase to 300.
