Vahan Misakyan has been appointed Deputy Chair of the Urban Development Committee. The decision was signed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“Pursuant to Article 9, Part 4 of the Law on Public Service, Vahan Misakyan shall be appointed Deputy Chair of the Urban Development Committee,” the decision states.
Misakyan received an education in architecture and has been engaged in academic and professional work. He was a Luys Foundation scholarship recipient, continuing his studies abroad, including at Columbia University in the U.S.
From 2014 to 2015, he worked as an architect at Studio MDA in New York. During the same period, he served as a visiting and associate lecturer in architecture, planning and preservation at Columbia University. He also founded the X-Commons platform and led research at the Controlled Cities Laboratory.
