Vaghn Aleksanyan has been elected as Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia

Vaghn Aleksanyan has been elected as Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia. 62 deputies voted in favor of his candidacy, while 27 voted against.

It is noteworthy that the opposition faction "Armenia" did not participate in the voting. Only representatives of another opposition faction, "Strong Armenia," opposed Aleksanyan's candidacy.

Previously, the National Assembly elected Ruben Rubinyan from the "Civil Contract" party as Speaker and Aik Kondjoryan as Vice-Speaker. Tomorrow, discussions will begin regarding the third Vice-Speaker, with the "Strong Armenia" faction nominating lawyer Aram Vardevanyan for this position.
