With the support of Ucom, the ArmDrone community has launched the second phase of a free educational program for teenagers on FPV (First-person view) drones, which included a practical lesson with field flights. The event was also attended by Ucom's CEO Ralph Yirikian.
As part of the launch of the second phase, more than 500 applications for participation were received. Selected participants have already familiarized themselves with drone (UAV) technologies, the structure of FPV systems, device control, flight planning, and safe implementation.
“Technological education is not just about transferring theoretical knowledge; it is important that young people have the opportunity to test and apply what they have learned in practice. At Ucom, it is important for us that young people continue to be interested in technology and develop their professional skills. We are confident that such programs strengthen Armenia's position as an innovative and technological center,” said Ucom's CEO Ralph Yirikian.
During the practical lesson, participants reinforced their skills in field conditions by performing FPV drone flights and improving their techniques for controlling devices, software, and flight parameters. The experience gained is an important foundation for further complex flight exercises and participation in international FPV competitions.
“Thanks to Ucom's support, we were able to implement this educational program step by step, from participant selection to theoretical and practical phases. Today, participants can apply their acquired knowledge in field conditions by performing real flights and developing their operating skills. Our goal is not only to teach how to operate a drone but also to foster technical thinking, an engineering approach, and create new opportunities for young people in the UAV sector,” said ArmDrone community founder Hayk Karapetyan.
