Participants in the Ucom Fellowship incubation program, run by Impact Hub Yerevan with Ucom’s support, visited Ucom and met with the company’s chief executive, Ralph Yirikian.

During the meeting, Yirikian shared his experience and views on leadership and entrepreneurship, reviewed the teams’ progress and discussed the main challenges and growth opportunities they face. He also offered practical advice tailored to the current needs of each team.

The Ucom Fellowship program, now being held for the third consecutive year, supports Armenia-based early-stage teams, startups and entrepreneurs developing technology solutions to address environmental problems.

“A good idea is an important start, but it turns into real change only when the people behind it are ready to test it, develop it and take responsibility for the result. At Ucom, it is especially important for us to see that technology can serve not only business development, but also the solution of environmental problems,” said Ucom CEO Ralph Yirikian.

Over the course of the eight-month program, Impact Hub Yerevan supports participants throughout the incubation process, helping them validate ideas, strengthen business models and develop prototypes or minimum viable products (MVPs).

The program includes training tailored to participants’ needs, one-on-one mentoring, expert advice, networking opportunities, and access to Impact Hub Yerevan’s entrepreneurial community and workspace. Ucom specialists are also involved as mentors, sharing practical experience and sector expertise.

“Ucom Fellowship gives participants the environment, knowledge and professional support needed to turn an early-stage idea into a more viable solution. At Impact Hub Yerevan, our role is to guide them along that path, from testing initial assumptions and reinforcing the business model to building links with relevant mentors and experts. Meetings like this at Ucom provide another important opportunity for participants to interact directly with experienced business leaders and receive practical feedback,” said Impact Hub Yerevan CEO Nazareth Seferyan.

At the end of the program, the teams will present the solutions developed during the fellowship. The three best ideas will receive financial support for further development.

Ucom is one of Armenia’s leading providers of convergent telecommunications services. The company offers digital solutions in fixed and mobile communications, internet and television, with a focus on customer experience, network quality and technological leadership.

Impact Hub Yerevan was founded in 2016 and is part of a global network of more than 110 Impact Hubs. It supports entrepreneurs and innovators through incubation programs, educational opportunities, professional networks and a collaborative community.
