The Armenian government approved the draft law on the ratification of the framework agreement on strategic cooperation between Armenia and the United States regarding TRIPP.
The next step will be for the government to appeal to the Constitutional Court to determine the compliance of the obligations enshrined in the main law with the Constitution. If the Constitutional Court recognizes the obligations of the international treaty as compliant with the Constitution, it will be presented to the National Assembly for ratification.
This TRIPP agreement was initially signed during the brief visit of the U.S. Secretary of State to Yerevan, with the final signature occurring on June 4.
