TRIPP will operate in accordance with EAEU regulations - Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia

Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia comments on the status of the TRIPP project

Yerevan, July 1. /ARKA/. Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan commented on the statement made by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Galuzin that Russian participation would only benefit the TRIPP project:

"Currently, TRIPP is being implemented in a Armenia-US format, the agreement has been signed, and it is in the implementation stage," he emphasized:

Safaryan added that the Republic of Armenia is currently a member of the EAEU, and transit rules are regulated by the norms of the Eurasian Economic Union:

"Customs regulation of the EAEU is carried out by our customs authorities, so we don't see any problem here," he replied:

About the TRIPP project

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia reported on June 4 that Armenia and the USA signed a framework agreement on TRIPP, which was initialed on May 26 during the visit of the US Secretary of State to Yerevan:

TRIPP Development Company is intended to support trade, transport, and economic development in the Caucasus region, as well as to enhance international, intergovernmental, and domestic transport connectivity:
