The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that US President Donald Trump promised regarding the F-35 fighter jets, and he is awaiting its fulfillment.
In early July, the US president stated: "We are preparing to make a decision on supplying Turkey with F-35 fighter jets."
Ankara was removed from the joint production and supply program of the latest F-35 fighter jets in 2019 after acquiring the Russian S-400 air defense systems.
