According to Azerbaijani media, a phone conversation took place today between the presidents of the United States and Azerbaijan, during which, according to reports, Trump invited Aliyev to the G20.
It is reported that the Azerbaijani president thanked President Donald Trump for hosting the peace summit in Washington and his contribution to the peace agenda.
"It was noted with satisfaction that peace and stability have been ensured in the region over the past year, and no incidents have occurred that could harm the peace," the statement said.
It is noted that during the phone conversation, the parties also discussed bilateral relations, emphasizing that "Azerbaijani-American relations have reached a qualitatively new level and have acquired a strategic nature."
On the occasion of August 8, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan also had separate phone conversations with U.S. President Donald Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
