Toyota has postponed the launch of sales for its new GR GT supercar until 2027, but the entire quota allocated for the U.S. has already been sold out, said Andrew Gileland, a senior executive at the company's regional division:
Demand for the Toyota GR GT in North America significantly exceeds the expected production volume, which will range from 200 to 250 units in the first phase. According to Gileland, Toyota does not plan to sell the GR GT to resellers, as the car is designed for active use, not just for collection:
“We want the cars to be bought by those who will actually drive them,” he noted:

According to The Drive portal, Toyota first unveiled the GR GT at the end of 2025. The large coupe will be equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 engine and an electric motor, with a combined power of around 650 horsepower. A GT3 racing version will also be released. The price of the car will start at $220,000:
