During the election campaign, Nikol Pashinyan consistently emphasized that pensions had increased, but he also occasionally noted that there would be price increases. How does society, especially pensioners, respond to these increases? To clarify the issue, Panorama.am conducted a survey among citizens;
- We are in a crazy situation, I have lived in Yerevan for 85 years and have never seen such prices. They are shocking prices. Perhaps times have changed, but it cannot change this much.
- The increased pensions are not enough for my medicines. I do not go to the polyclinic because I do not accept free services to avoid complications. Let the medicines be cheaper, not just increase the pension.
- They did not increase the pension, but left many people without means. They give from one place and take from another, putting it in one pocket and taking it from another.
- Everything has become more expensive, everything has gone up. We have no products here; everything comes from abroad; they have increased the pensions, and we are managing somehow.
- The royal soft life hardens a person's soul; this is how they treat the people.
- It is very expensive; we pensioners cannot go anywhere and buy something. A small apple costs 500 drams; I cannot buy and eat it. I go where they give cheaper, for loyal people, buy, bring, and eat.
