The Ambassador of Armenia to Albania, Tigran Mkrtchyan, met with the Chairman of the Permanent Committee on Foreign Relations of the Albanian Parliament, Igli Hasani. During the meeting, they discussed opportunities for developing bilateral relations between Armenia and Albania, establishing inter-parliamentary ties, and forming new cooperation formats.
The ambassador thanked Igli Hasani for the support Albania provided regarding the hosting of the European Political Community summit in Yerevan and presented the latest developments in Armenia's foreign policy agenda, including the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the normalization of relations with Turkey, and Armenia's European direction.
Igli Hasani welcomed the initiative to activate inter-parliamentary cooperation and expressed readiness to facilitate the establishment of connections between the relevant committees of the Armenian National Assembly. He also emphasized the importance of developing direct air communication, a liberalized visa regime, trade-economic ties, and business contacts between the two countries.
The interlocutors also discussed the possibilities of exporting Armenian products to the markets of Albania and the Western Balkans.
