Team Holding said it had completed its public corporate bond placement programme in Armenia ahead of schedule, raising financing equivalent to about $35 million. According to the company, the full amount placed totaled $31.5 million and 1.4 billion drams.
The placement was carried out in three stages in cooperation with Freedom Broker Armenia. Team group co-founder and director Hayk Yesayan said the company was announcing the successful completion of its bond issue for the first time, adding that the proceeds would be used to develop the group’s infrastructure in logistics, energy and other areas.
Yesayan said most of the capital raised would be directed to capital expenditure. He stressed that the group fully covers its operating expenses, while the new funding will be used mainly in the energy sector.
He also said Team Holding’s diversified structure, which includes 10–12 companies, helps reduce and spread risk through the group’s presence across different sectors of the economy. In his view, the full sale of the entire issue also reflects investor confidence and the company’s transparency.
Freedom Broker Armenia director Ovak Ovakimyan said the placement was an important step for the development of Armenia’s capital market and could serve as an example for other organizations. He also underscored the importance of attracting foreign investors, saying that bringing international capital into Armenian companies is a major advance for the local market.
