YEREVAN, July 22. /ARKA/. T-Bank customers can now make payments in Armenia using QR codes through the mobile application, the bank's press service reported.
To make a payment, customers need to scan the QR code located near the cash register or on the payment terminal. According to the bank, the service is available without a commission at most retail locations that support this payment method.
There is no need to open a foreign currency account to use the service. The conversion of rubles to Armenian drams is done at T-Bank's internal exchange rate at the time of the transaction. Customers can check the applicable rate on the payment screen in the mobile application.
The maximum amount for a single purchase is equivalent to 1 million rubles. The service is available to bank clients who are citizens of Russia and countries that the bank classifies as friendly.
In addition to Armenia, QR code payments through T-Bank's application are also available in Vietnam, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan. The company stated that it plans to expand the geography of the service in the future.
