YEREVAN, August 6. /ARKA/. The international fast-food chain Subway is considering entering the Armenian market and opening over 60 establishments in the country, the press service of the RA Ministry of Economy reports:
This issue was discussed at a meeting between Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan and Subway's regional general director for the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, Efe Celik, along with Armenian investor Levon Ayrapetyan:
According to the ministry, the investment for opening each restaurant may range from $150,000 to $300,000:
Company representatives stated that the implementation of the project could contribute to the creation of new jobs, the development of international franchising, the attraction of local suppliers, and the introduction of international standards in the food service sector:
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Economy Lilia Sirakanian and the director of the Investment Support Center, Goar Abadjan:
