Papazyan noted that Yeghoyan attempted to devalue the diaspora and its usefulness, defending the absurd thesis that a stronger diaspora means a weaker Armenia. He emphasized that the diaspora did not arise by its own desire and is largely a consequence of genocide, exile, and the destruction of Armenian communities:
Papazyan added that organizations such as the Armenian Apostolic Church, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, and many other cultural and charitable organizations have played a crucial role in preserving the diaspora:
