The land plot was returned to community ownership through the intervention of the prosecutor's office

As a result of the prosecutor's intervention, the 8th land plot located in the 28 May park in Sisian has been returned to community ownership. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia. The Prosecutor's Office of the Syunik region, within its powers to protect state (community) interests, examined the documents regarding the allocation of land plots located in the park to various individuals. The inspection revealed that a land plot of 0.05308 hectares had been allocated to an individual with the right to build in violation of legal requirements. The prosecutor's office submitted a petition to the head of the Sisian community to take measures to terminate the construction rights contract concluded between the Sisian community and the developer on June 11, 2009.

Based on the petition, as a result of measures taken by the relevant municipal authorities of Sisian, the Cadastre Committee terminated the registered construction rights on the land plot with a cadastral value of 997 thousand drams, which approximately corresponds to the market value. The land plot has been returned to the ownership of the Sisian community.

It should be noted that the park of the Sisian community occupies an area of 9595.68 square meters, where land plots were allocated to 17 individuals under contracts granting construction rights. As a result of the prosecutor's intervention, 8 land plots with a total area of 4103.733 square meters have been returned to the Sisian community. Work is ongoing to return 12 land plots allocated to 11 individuals to the community.
