Law enforcement officers are conducting searches at Pregomesh, a company owned by singer Sirusho, wife of Levon Kocharyan, a lawmaker from the Armenia parliamentary faction. Lawyer Aleksandr Kochubayev informed reporters about the search.
He stated he was currently heading to Pregomesh, Sirusho’s jewelry store, to represent the company’s interests, while lawyer Erik Aleksanyan remained at lawmaker Levon Kocharyan’s home, where the search was still underway.
In the morning, law enforcement officers entered the homes of Armenia’s second president, Robert Kocharyan, and his sons, Sedrak Kocharyan and Levon Kocharyan, a lawmaker from the Armenia parliamentary faction, and began conducting searches.
According to Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee, searches and other procedural actions were conducted at several dozen addresses as part of criminal proceedings investigating alleged corruption-related offenses.
It later became known that Robert Kocharyan and his elder son, Sedrak Kocharyan, had been detained.
