The beneficiary of the 'Power of One Dram' initiative in July was the environmental NGO 'My Forest Armenia'. The collected amount of 5,094,763 drams was directed towards large-scale reforestation and forest restoration efforts, aiding in the preservation of local biodiversity. In August, the beneficiary is the NGO 'Oran', which provides care, education, and temporary housing for socially vulnerable children and lonely elderly people, as well as supports families in crisis situations. The collected funds will allow the organization to provide the children under its care with necessary school uniforms and stationery ahead of the new academic year.
Tatevik Vardevanyan, head of communications and social responsibility programs at Idram and IDBank, emphasized the uniqueness of this collaboration. 'The new academic year is the beginning of dreams and a great journey for every child, and our goal is to ensure that social inequality does not deprive them of this joy,' she noted.
According to the founder of the NGO 'Oran', Armine Oganesyan, such cooperation helps expand support for vulnerable groups in society. 'We highly value our collaboration with Idram and IDBank. The funds raised through the 'Power of One Dram' initiative will be directed towards providing the children of 'Oran' with school uniforms and stationery before September 1,' said Armine Oganesyan.
