"If there is an ability to adapt, even the most negative changes can be used to address our own issues and agendas. We have been talking about the diversification of the economy for 8 years, but no program is working for one simple reason: people do not consider it necessary. If we have a sector where our cooperation with any subject has a dominant or monopolistic situation, that is a threat, it is a matter of national and state security that must be managed, and therefore we must continue this policy.
Many consider the current situation a crisis, but I see it as an opportunity for us to fit into non-polar concepts, vocabularies, problems, and practices. If you have an apocalyptic mindset, which is a phenomenon very characteristic of us, there is a reason for apocalypse every day. This apocalyptic mindset can be seen every day; someone insists that the country is collapsing, they say the country is collapsing, you hold a government meeting, the country is collapsing, you hold a briefing, the country is collapsing, you take weekends, the country is collapsing, you go on vacation, the country is collapsing, you drink water, the country is collapsing," he said.
The Prime Minister added: "This is an apocalyptic mindset because if this is the way of thinking, indeed every day one can find that the country is collapsing. The history of the planet is generally a history of destruction, and it is literally also collapsing, so that is normal; we must understand that we all live in a state of destruction. We must adapt to this situation and do daily work with the logic of adaptation; in a state of decline, we must live, work, and form agendas and solve that agenda. This is inevitable; no one can stop it, and on the contrary, when that destruction stops, it means everything is over."
