In the first seven months of the current year, trade in agro-industrial products between Russia and China has increased by 34.4%. This was announced during an international event held recently in Kazan, where Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut presented the findings.
By 2025, mutual trade is expected to reach approximately $11 million, marking a 21% increase. The minister noted that Russia is actively increasing its supply of finished products to the Chinese market. “Both imports and exports are growing from both sides,” the minister emphasized.
The cooperation encompasses most provinces of China, with Shandong being the leader, recording $2.2 billion last year and $1.4 billion in the first half of the current year. Key trading participants from Russia include regions of the Far East, including Primorsky and Kamchatka territories, as well as Moscow, the Moscow region, and St. Petersburg. Specifically, the trade volume between Primorsky Krai and China amounted to $1.1 billion in the first six months.
