Repo/Reverse Repo transactions are conducted in accordance with the Repo and Reverse Repo Transaction Conclusion Procedure of Byblos Bank Armenia.
Transaction Essence
Repo is a transaction in which the other party acquires bonds from the Bank with the obligation to sell them back on the maturity date, while the Bank sells bonds with the obligation to repurchase them on the maturity date and pay the specified interest.
Reverse Repo is a transaction in which the other party sells bonds to the Bank with the obligation to repurchase them on the maturity date and pay the specified interest, while the Bank acquires bonds with the obligation to sell them back on the maturity date.
The Bank conducts Repo/Reverse Repo transactions for liquidity management purposes.
Partners/Clients Scope/Criteria
Central Bank of Armenia and resident commercial banks of Armenia within the limits set by the Bank's APC.
