RedotPay, a stablecoin payments firm, has announced that it has postponed its planned $1 billion IPO in the U.S. due to legal issues. The Hong Kong-based company recently obtained a U.S. money transmitter license and is preparing to launch its product in the U.S., but declined to comment on its IPO plans.
- RedotPay, which claims to be the world's largest stablecoin payment card issuer, is currently facing a $470 million lawsuit from Binance, alleging that RedotPay poached users in violation of their agreement.
- The company, which achieved unicorn status, reported having 8.5 million users as of July.
A RedotPay spokesperson stated that the company's strategy continues to focus on global regulatory compliance and business growth.
