The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has implemented the process of providing compensation to citizens who purchased new airline tickets due to the cancellation of return or transit flights as a result of military operations that occurred in February in the Middle East.
From April 10 to August 20, 2026, 630 applications from Armenian citizens were approved, resulting in compensation for 902 citizens. The total amount of compensation has reached approximately 174 million drams, with each individual receiving up to 250,000 drams.
“The Armenian MFA has supported citizens throughout the entire process, from filling out applications and submitting necessary documents to providing compensation, also cooperating with airlines and travel agencies when necessary.
Considering the decreasing dynamics of application submissions, the Armenian government set a deadline for accepting applications until August 25 with decision N1237 on August 20,” the MFA reports.
