As Porsche continues to mark 75 years of its sporting heritage, the company has teamed up with Hedley Studios to introduce the Porsche 550 Spyder J. The new model is an electric interpretation of the 1954 550 Spyder.
The sports car retains the look of the original, but is about 20% smaller in size. It uses a 48-volt electric system delivering up to 22 horsepower.
According to the company, the Porsche 550 Spyder J is a collector’s car and is not intended for public roads. The German automaker plans to build only 250 units, while the official price has not yet been disclosed.

Porsche said buyers will be offered several personalization options, though these are mainly limited to different body shades and decorative decals. The vehicle seats two people, and its top speed does not exceed 80 km/h.
In its official release, Porsche said the original 550 Spyder was an important model in the brand’s history. It was the company’s first car designed specifically for motorsport.
