The State Protection Service Must Develop Independently as a Special Service, Says Prime Minister

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the service's development

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended a ceremonial session dedicated to the anniversary of the establishment of the State Protection Service:

The Prime Minister congratulated the employees of the SPS on the festive day and thanked them for the services provided to the Republic of Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan noted that the development of the SPS is visible, starting from the daily service uniforms, armaments, and equipment.

The Prime Minister also addressed the funding of the service and emphasized that it has significantly increased: “A substantial investment is being made in the qualification enhancement of service employees. We are doing everything we can to ensure that the employees themselves are interested in these changes, in the continuity of education, language proficiency, and professional development.”

In this context, Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the expansion of international cooperation frameworks, which provides greater access and communication opportunities.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of ensuring an adequate level of social guarantees for the employees of the SPS: “The tool of voluntary certification should be in place, and each stage of voluntary certification should bring a higher level of social guarantees. This should be continuous.”

The head of state also emphasized the necessity for institutional development of the SPS, as it is one of the most important special services of the state.

Nikol Pashinyan expressed satisfaction with the need to make the field attractive for young people, which should be continuously developed.

The head of the SPS, Arthur Gasparyan, also spoke, addressing the ongoing improvements and programs aimed at the system's performance.
