SRS. New Initiatives Discussed at the Digitalization Council Meeting

SRS Chairman Edward Hakobyan presented new digitalization programs

The meeting of the Digitalization Council was chaired by Edward Hakobyan, during which the current work on digitalization, upcoming programs, and new initiatives within the framework of reforms were discussed.

Welcoming the participants, Edward Hakobyan emphasized that the mission and vision of the SRS outline a path of technological boldness and innovation, and the activities of the Digitalization Council are aimed at coordinating these processes, setting priorities, and implementing innovative solutions within the Committee.

“We must be able to keep pace with rapidly evolving technological changes, choose the right direction, and make innovative solutions an integral part of our work. In the near future, digitalization will become an important component of the implementation of all reforms.

During the meeting, attention was also paid to the work on digitalization in the context of reforms in the customs sector.

In particular, the progress of the project aimed at increasing the efficiency of post-clearance control administration was discussed, as well as the idea of creating a “Remote Customs Authority” system.

A project for a new electronic system for “Customs Services” was also presented, which is expected to reduce the impact of the human factor and increase the transparency of processes.

At the end of the meeting, the results of the discussions were summarized, the timelines for program implementation and responsible directions were clarified.
