Vahe Davtyan, a candidate of political sciences, commented on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statements regarding the concession agreement for the 'South Caucasus Railway' in an interview with Aravot.am. He noted that Pashinyan's proposal to withdraw Russian capital is 'nonsense' as it is unacceptable in political, economic, and other terms.
'Pashinyan says: let's withdraw Russian capital from here so that we have the opportunity. This is nonsense in political, economic, and other terms,' he stated.
Davtyan added that the concession agreement signed in 2008 provides for dispute resolution through international arbitration if one party violates the terms. He emphasized that the management of the Armenian railway by a Russian company does not hinder Armenia's transport integration and that the issue should be resolved at a strategic level.
