Pashinyan Discusses Progress on Major Urban Development Projects in Yerevan

The progress of urban development projects is crucial for the country's development

During a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on August 20, discussions were held regarding the progress of major urban development projects in Yerevan:

In particular, the work being carried out under the Old Yerevan and 33rd District of Firdus projects, as well as the current situation, were discussed. Details regarding construction, land expropriation procedures, and undeveloped areas were presented:

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of completing the two major urban development projects and instructed responsible parties to continue their work in accordance with the decisions made at today's meeting:

The Old Yerevan project is an urban initiative aimed at recreating the historical and cultural appearance of Armenia's capital from the late 19th to early 20th century in the form of a separate quarter. It is to be located in the city center, bounded by Abovyan, Aram, Buzand, and Koghbatsi streets. It involves the relocation and restoration of authentic historical buildings and architectural fragments based on archival materials:

The project includes multi-level spaces (above-ground and underground floors), residential apartments, as well as areas for commerce, restaurants, and cultural events:

The goal of the project is to preserve the spirit of the old city and integrate historical monuments with the modern urban environment.
