Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in the narrow format meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Cholpon-Ata.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, the prime ministers were welcomed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adilbek Kasymaliev, after which a joint photo session took place.
At the beginning of the meeting, Kasymaliev welcomed the attendees and congratulated Pashinyan on his victory in the parliamentary elections and his reappointment as Prime Minister of Armenia.
Subsequently, various issues of cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union were discussed during the meeting.
No further details were provided in the official statement.
On July 30, in response to a question from Azatutyun, Pashinyan stated: - “The EAEU is a platform where I will raise all issues related to our agenda. I will say what I said at the briefing: I said at the briefing that the EAEU is paralyzed. If the EAEU agreement is not functioning, then the EAEU is not functioning. And the EAEU is de facto in a paralyzed state, and paralysis is showing tendencies to deepen. If this issue is not resolved quickly, I am one hundred percent sure that the Republic of Armenia will overcome this problem, and the EAEU will not overcome it.”
