Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Armenia has never intended and does not intend to introduce a visa regime with the Russian Federation.
“We are very pleased to welcome tourists coming from Russia, and we see that they have now become very active in promoting Armenia’s tourism advantages. Armenian society also welcomes these people with great pleasure and warmth. They seem to feel quite comfortable in Armenia, and we are happy about that. Such a thing has never even crossed our minds,” the prime minister said, according to Sputnik Armenia.
Maria Zakharova said that Armenia’s possible introduction of a visa regime for Russian citizens would be a step directed not against Moscow, but against Yerevan itself.
