PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that Armenia has proposed to sign the peace treaty articles that have already been agreed with Azerbaijan before COP29 in Baku.
Pashinyan made this remark during a discussion titled "Leadership for Peace" on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, noting that the move would create a conducive environment to advance the peace process.
Pashinyan highlighted that his government’s "Crossroads of Peace" initiative aims to unlock the economic potential of the region and strengthen economic and cultural ties, thereby contributing to political dialogue and achieving comprehensive peace for the benefit of all peoples.
"We are ready to leverage the positive momentum and continue the border delimitation process based on the agreement between our border delimitation commissions, grounded in the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991," he said (via Armenpress). "Strong and unequivocal support from the United Nations for Armenia's efforts to achieve just and durable peace in the region is crucial."
