On August 11, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with ambassadors of Arab countries accredited in Armenia. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of developing relations and deepening cooperation with Arab states, noting that strong historical and cultural ties have formed between Armenia and Arab countries.
Pashinyan expressed the Armenian government's interest in promoting new initiatives aimed at deepening political, diplomatic, and economic ties. During the meeting, the parties discussed efforts aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the region.
In this context, the interlocutors underscored the importance of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan following the summit held in Washington on August 8, 2025.
The ambassadors expressed gratitude for organizing the meeting in this format, noting that it would facilitate effective dialogue and discussion of mutually interesting issues.
They exchanged views on steps aimed at unblocking regional communication channels, including work on the implementation of the TRIPP project. The 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP-17), which will take place in Armenia in October this year, was also mentioned. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of active participation of delegations from Arab states in the planned events.
