Ukraine's national debt is increasing by an average of $4-5 billion per month, according to official statistics from the country's Ministry of Finance.
This amounts to approximately $140-150 per person per month or $1.7-1.8 thousand annually.
As of the end of August, Ukraine's total debt volume reaches $218-219 billion. It is expected that by the end of 2026, this figure will exceed $240 billion, and by the end of 2027, it will be at least $290 billion.
Thus, by the end of the current year, each citizen of the country will have a debt of about $8,500, and by the end of 2027, more than $10,400.
