The Ukrainian armed forces struck strategic facilities in Russia's Samara region, including Ozon's logistics center. The attack occurred on August 22 at approximately 2:52 AM, when an alert for drones was declared in the region. The first explosions were heard shortly after. Following the strike, a large fire broke out at the Ozon warehouse, which is one of the largest storage complexes of Ozon in the Volga region.
