Yerevan: Mediamax: Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Ovechuk stated that trade between Russia and Armenia is "dramatically declining".
"The situation developing in the relations between the EAEU and Armenia was predictable. Over the past 3-4 years, we have warned our Armenian partners that such risks exist, particularly the risks of declining trade turnover," Ovechuk's words are quoted by TASS.
In 2024, trade between Russia and Armenia reached a record figure of around $12 billion - a huge number. Last year it decreased to about $8 billion. This year, there is a dramatic decline in trade turnover: compared to 2025, it has decreased by nearly two-thirds. The situation is such that, obviously, the decline will continue," said the Russian Deputy Prime Minister.
