The pressure of U.S. sanctions on Iran is intensifying, but Pakistani mediation hopes have led to a decrease in Brent oil prices:
Iran's oil exports have significantly dropped, averaging only about 0.3 million barrels per day in August, far below the 2025 average of 1.7 million barrels per day.
However, Chinese imports of Iranian oil remain slightly above the loading pace, around 800,000 barrels per day, but are expected to decline further next month.
Iran's floating storage has shrunk to just 24 million barrels, indicating that Chinese buyers are mopping up the last remaining volumes.
