Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a phone conversation with Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdymukhamedov. This was reported by the government's press service.
"The interlocutors discussed the further development of Armenia-Turkmenistan relations and issues related to the bilateral agenda. The importance of expanding trade and economic ties and implementing consistent steps in this direction was emphasized.
Nikol Pashinyan also referred to the upcoming 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) to be held in Armenia this October and invited Serdar Berdymukhamedov to visit Armenia to participate in the Leaders' Summit to be held within the framework of COP 17.
The President of Turkmenistan gladly accepted the invitation," the statement said.
