Nikol Pashinyan emphasizes the importance of the consistent development of cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Armenia and Georgia

The Prime Minister of Armenia met with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, welcomed the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, on June 30. While welcoming Tamazashvili's visit to Yerevan, Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the consistent development of cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Armenia and Georgia.

According to him, there is great potential for cooperation in bilateral relations, the realization of which is also significantly facilitated by such mutual visits and active high-level contacts. Pashinyan pointed to the joint programs of the ministries of internal affairs of both countries, particularly in combating crime and illegal drug trafficking, noting the need for further improvement of internal security levels.

For his part, Sulkhan Tamazashvili reported that he had productive discussions with his Armenian colleagues, including on the implementation of joint programs. He expressed confidence that the current visit would give a new impetus to strengthening bilateral ties in order to more effectively counter current challenges.
