Multi Wellness Sues Yerevan Municipality

Multi Wellness Center has filed a lawsuit

Multi Wellness Center has filed a lawsuit against the Yerevan Municipality. According to the judicial information system 'Datalex', the company demands from the court

  • 1. to declare invalid the notification from the Mayor of Yerevan dated 08.06.2026 regarding the termination of the contract for the provision of construction rights for a land plot concluded between the Yerevan community and Multi Group LLC on 10.10.2016.
  • 2. to apply the consequences of invalidity by declaring invalid the registrations made by the State Committee of Cadastre of the Republic of Armenia on 14.07.2026 regarding the termination of construction rights of Multi Wellness Center LLC and the state registration of property rights of the Yerevan community for the immovable property located at 11 Alek Manukyan Street, Yerevan (current address: 22 Khanzhyan Street, Yerevan), restoring the state registration of construction rights of Multi Wellness Center LLC.

The lawsuit was received by the court on August 3. The next day, it was assigned to Judge Arshak Petrosyan.

Recall that on July 16, Tigran Avinyan, acting Mayor of Yerevan, announced that the building of Multi Wellness had passed to the Yerevan Municipality.

“Yes, I confirm. This building was constructed on communal land, on land that is inalienable, and it was built with violations. Accordingly, under the contract, one of the parties — the Yerevan Municipality — terminated the contract, and the building has completely passed to the Yerevan Municipality. Further statements on this matter will definitely follow,” said Avinyan.

In response to another statement by Avinyan, that the 'Multi Wellness Center' has reopened and will operate under the new name 'Yerevan Wellness Center', the center's director Arman Piroyan accused the municipality of illegally seizing all movable property of the center.

“All movable property of the complex — sports equipment, furniture, ventilation and air conditioning systems, computer technology, washing machines, kitchen equipment, televisions, etc., belongs to the 'Multi Wellness Center', and it has not been removed from the premises of the complex.

We declare that the Yerevan Municipality has illegally seized all movable property of the 'Multi Wellness Center', taken possession of it, and transferred it for gratuitous use to the organization it created, 'Yerevan Wellness Center'.
