The Kuzminsky District Court in Moscow has arrested the current and former CEOs of 'Drone Solutions', Vyacheslav Barbasov and Irakli Khazali, on August 8, as reported by 'Kommersant'.
They have been charged with fraud in a particularly large amount under part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for up to 10 years of imprisonment. This is mentioned in the court documents.
The essence of the criminal case has not yet been disclosed by law enforcement agencies.
'Drone Solutions', registered in Moscow in February 2018, is engaged in research and development in the field of natural and technical sciences. According to information posted on the company's website, it produces unmanned aerial systems, software for them, as well as computer vision systems based on neural networks.
The developer claims that its drones can operate in almost any climatic conditions. The main areas of application include monitoring oil and gas infrastructure, controlling fire outbreaks, and securing objects.
According to open sources, about 40% of the company belongs to Vyacheslav Barbasov, and about 23% to the National Technology Initiative Project Support Fund. Irakli Khazali has a small share.
