YEREVAN, August 4. /ARKA/. The international rating agency Moody’s, simultaneously with raising the forecast for Armenia's sovereign credit rating, has changed the outlook for the long-term deposit ratings and issuer rating of Akba Bank at the Ba3 level from 'stable' to 'positive'.
This rating corresponds to the sovereign rating of the Republic of Armenia and is currently the highest possible rating level assigned by Moody’s in Armenia.
The assessment was assigned to the bank considering the high quality of assets, significant capital reserves, as well as high solvency and liquidity indicators.
Moody’s also emphasizes the systemic importance of Akba Bank in the financial market of Armenia, as the bank continues to rank among the top three banks in the country by asset volume.
The bank is under the supervision of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.
