- Alphabet — The Google parent's stock slid more than 4%. Google announced that it's reshuffling its artificial intelligence divisions. As part of that, chief scientist Jeff Dean will be parting ways with the company after 27 years.
- Gold miners — Shares of gold miners leapt as futures tied to the yellow metal touched their highest level since June 18. The VanEck Gold Miners ETF (GDX) popped 6.8%, as U.S.-traded shares of Gold Fields advanced nearly 10%. Shares of Newmont and Barrick Mining were last up 7% and 6%, respectively.
- SpaceX — Shares fell 8% after releasing its first quarterly report since going public in June. SpaceX reported capital expenditures of $18.37 billion in the second quarter, largely driven by artificial intelligence and up 550% from the year-ago period. Second-quarter revenue came in at $7.81 billion, topping an LSEG consensus of $6.93 billion.
- Disney — The stock was up almost 2%, despite the media giant reporting a mixed fiscal third quarter. While earnings per share came in above expectations, revenue missed slightly.
- Charles River Laboratories — Shares were up over 11% after the drug development company reported second-quarter adjusted earnings and revenue that beat the FactSet consensus. The company also increased its adjusted earnings guidance to $11.15 and $11.45 per share versus the prior range of $10.80 to $11.30 per share.
- Booking Holdings — Shares of the travel and restaurant reservation company rose more than 5% after second-quarter results outpaced expectations.
- Insulet — Shares of the insulin pump manufacturer tumbled more than 20% after the company lowered its 2026 forecast for Omnipod growth in the U.S.
- Amgen — The biotech stock jumped 4% and hit a 52-week high after the company's second-quarter financial results.
- Shopify — Shares of the e-commerce platform company surged about 17% on the back of third-quarter guidance.
- Arista Networks — Shares gained 4% after second-quarter results surpassed estimates.
- AMD — The chipmaker's stock slid 6% on the back of second-quarter results that failed to impress investors.

- DaVita — Shares tanked around 19% despite the kidney dialysis provider reporting better-than-expected results.
- Teradata — The cloud data analytics provider plummeted about 20% after third-quarter earnings guidance trailed a Wall Street consensus estimate.
- Uber Technologies — Shares of the ride-hailing company fell 7% after Uber's guidance for third-quarter bookings and earnings missed analysts' expectations.
- Flutter Entertainment — The sports betting and online gambling operator's stock was off more than 11% after the company announced CEO Peter Jackson would be leaving the company.
