Meta Platforms will pay up to $18 billion to settle a lawsuit from a group of state attorneys general, who alleged its social media apps Facebook and Instagram were addictive to children. The tech giant also announced several safety features it will add to its app as part of the settlement. Meta (META) stock climbed nearly 2% to 586.48.
