YEREVAN, September 17. The One Dram Power initiative is serving as the general partner in September for the Climate Change and Women award. According to IDBank’s press service, funds raised during the month will be directed to staging the program.

The initiative is aimed at recognizing, valuing and making more visible women’s leadership and contribution to tackling climate change and preserving biodiversity.

The award is being held as part of COP17 in partnership with the Women in Climate and Energy (WiCE) NGO, the OksEjen Foundation, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the CBD Women’s Caucus, and the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia.

Tatevik Vardevanyan, head of communications and sustainability at Idram and IDBank, said environmental protection and sustainable development are among the core priorities of the One Dram Power initiative. In her words, the project fully reflects the values embraced by the initiative, and Idram and IDBank will continue to support programs that not only highlight major issues but also seek practical solutions and a sustainable future.

Nune Sakanyan, founder and director of the Women in Climate and Energy NGO, said the initiative provides an important platform for making women’s work more visible and underscoring their role. She said the support of One Dram Power is crucial for implementing the project, recognizing the value of women’s leadership, and promoting effective environmental solutions.

In August, the beneficiary of the One Dram Power initiative was the Orran charitable public organization. Thanks to the 4,719,020 drams raised, children supported by the organization started the school year fully prepared, with all the necessary school clothing and stationery.

The initiative continues to support major social, educational and public programs. People can join by making payments through the Idram&IDBank app, the IDBanking.am and banking.idram.am online platforms, as well as Idram and IDBank terminals. For every payment, the companies allocate one dram to important programs.
